<strong>30 mil:</strong> Standard credit cards are 30 mils thick, and is the best choice for custom gift cards, fundraising cards and rewards cards.<br><br><strong>20 mil:</strong> is more ideal for business cards and insurance cards.
Magnetic Stripe Type:
Magnetic Stripes are strips that store data on the back of a card. The data on the strips is readable when the card is passed through a POS reader.<br><br> Three types of Mag Stripes are available. HiCo, MidCo and LoCo. <strong>HiCo</strong> stands for High Coercivity (2700 upto 4000 Oe) and <strong>LoCo</strong> stands for Low Coercivity (300 Oe), indicating the density of the magnetic particles in the stripe, LoCo is standard.

Matte Writable / Gloss:
A matte finish allows the entire plastic card surface to be writable. Ideal for signatures. - By default, our cards are glossy on both sides.

How do Custom Gift Cards work?

A custom gift card is a hard plastic card that is printed with your business artwork. When you sell your store gift cards, you can encode any specific dollar value on it, either by a barcode, simple-numbering or magnetic strip data, which is unique to each card. - When the recipient is ready to redeem their gift card, the data on the card is scanned or swiped into your business point-of-sale software, which allows the gift card to be used as an alternative payment method. - With your POS software, you should be able to to track the card balance, redeem or reload value.

What is typically printed on a custom gift card for Business?

Which barcode type do I choose?

If you aren't sure about the barcode type your POS requires. – You can either check with your POS provider, or simply download our barcode test sheet, and scan all types with your barcode scanner to see which one works best with your software. - Or, you can also send us a clear picture of your current barcode gift cards, so that we can scan it to determine its type.

Which magnetic stripe type do I have to choose?

Will you send a proof of my custom gift card order for approval?

Yes, we'll always email a digital PDF proof for your approval before we move an order into production. - Unless you place an exact re-order of a previous job. - If your order is for customized barcode gift cards, you'll also be able to scan the barcodes on the proof itself, to make sure it works with your system.
